If you want to get closer to nature while you are staying in Paris, this is one of the greatest viewpoints available to visit. You can do as Parisians do and have a picnic in Trocadero Gardens a right in the shadows of the Eiffel Tower. You can see more shots of our sunrise photography shoot at Trocadero in Paris. It was commissioned in 1806 after the victory at Austerlitz by Emperor Napoleon at the peak of his fortunes. The monument was constructed during in between 1806 and 1836.

The main objective of this monument is to represent a powerful and unified ensemble. In now stands center and radiating the twelve avenues in Paris. That’s a wonderful trip down memory lane. My first ventures overseas saw me in Montmartre, trusty Kodak Instamatic to hand and being so transfixed I didn’t know how best to “spend” my 18 shots. That has changed so much now, and how wonderful to be able to wander around these beautiful spots with unlimited (well almost) shots to capture what we see, And I’ll certainly have to remember to pack my boots.

My top viewpoints were Trocadero, Sacre Coeur at sunset, and L’Arc de Triomphe when the Christmas lights were on. Not that impressed with my visit to the Eiffel Tower.

Oh yes, Paris definitely is view-friendly: From Bobourg to Sacre Coeur and back, then to the Eiffel Tower – you basically move from view to view – and every spot is just so iconic.

It was good to know about other viewpoints and places of Paris other than the very famous and obvious Eiffel Tower. One thing that really made the post interesting to me were your pictures. Very well written post about the viewpoints in Paris that I am sure would be helpful to many.

I’ve been to Paris once, long time ago, but I don’t feel like going there after seeing all these IG pictures. But your article with the pictures following every spot mentioned, made me re-thinking about visiting Paris.
